Who runs this survey?

State of Sec Morocco is an independent, open source project by saladin0x1 and mchklt. It is built on stateofdev.ma, the developer survey run by the GeeksBlaBla community. Their open source code and survey format made this project possible.

Who should take part?

Anyone working or studying in cybersecurity in Morocco, and Moroccans doing security work abroad: pentesters, SOC and incident response, GRC and compliance, AppSec, cloud and infrastructure security, researchers and students. Developers and sysadmins who carry security duties are welcome too.

Is it anonymous?

We never ask for your name or email. Answers are stored against a random anonymous session, which we only use to avoid spam and duplicate submissions. Please keep personal or identifying details out of free-text answers. Analytics (PostHog) only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner.

How will the data be used?

The results are published as an open report, and the answers are released as open data in the GitHub repository, so anyone can check the numbers or run their own analysis.

When will the results be released?

After the survey closes and the data has been checked. Watch the GitHub repository to get notified.

How can I contribute?

The project is open source. Suggest questions, report problems or send improvements through GitHub, and share the survey with your colleagues, your team and your CTF crew.
